Fauna and Flora

Its privileged location offers the possibility to admire unique plant species that can only be found in this territory, such as the Echium cantabricum. Beeches and oak groves are sheltered by the forests. Truly unique plant formations such as natural pine forests and junipers, found next to the meadows.
There we can find typical Atlantic species such as the middle spotted woodpecker or the Capercaillie, coexisting with Mediterranean species: Foxes, wild cats, chamois, deer, otters, Eurasian griffon vulture, owls and golden eagles, are just some of its inhabitants. Besides, this is also the second most important home of the Cantabrian brown bear after Somiedo (Asturias).
According to the Reserve authorities, the existence of the Cantabrian brown bear is an important biological indicator that shows the natural richness and purity of the environment where the springs are located, and these provide the bottling plant with water.
A natural territory with great environmental quality, guarded by the Natural Reserve Regulating Policy and with no pollutant activities that may damage the water quality.
All of this provides privileged quality and the guarantee of pure bottled water for customers who are sensitive to the environmental aspects and who have counted on the support of the main institutions from the very beginning.
